Grill Your Steak to Perfection on a Gas or Charcoal BBQ Grill
Steaks just taste better when they have been grilled on a gas or charcoal barbecue grill. Grilling brings out the great natural flavor of a steak. For the most flavor, grill your steak to rare and medium-rare doneness—that’s 120° to 140° F (150° F for medium and 160° F for well-done). Use an instant-read meat thermometer and position the probe into the thickest part of the meat (usually the center) for the most accurate reading.
When grilling a large cut of meat like a 14 to 16 ounce t-bone steak on a gas or charcoal barbecue grill, grill it for about 8 minutes on each side using tongs to turn it over just once. Avoid piercing your steak when turning and cutting into your steak to check for doneness to avoid losing any of those luscious juices created by grilling on either a gas or charcoal BBQ grill.
